Other than a strong vocal performance that sits perfectly in the mix, we are particularly drawn to the sharp percussion and production in Wait It Out. Crisp tops with a bouncing 808 rarely goes wrong, and here it gives the track some really nice momentum while maintaining an easy-breezy feel. While technically a midtempo, the track is still very dancey, and more importantly the melody beckons you to sing along—it’s a real earworm. Overall we think Anchen Ji deserves a prime spot on your daily playlist with this one.
